SCRUB TYPHUS IGG-IGM

Scrub Typhus / Tsutsugamushi fever is a zoonotic disorder transmitted to humans by the bite of a larval mite Orientia tsutsugamushi.The illness varies from mild self limiting to fatal with an incubation period of 621 days characterized by fever, headache, myalgia, cough & gastrointestinal symptoms.
Severe cases may developEncephalitis and Interstitial pneumonia. Scrub typhus or bush typhus is a form of typhus caused by theintracellular parasite 
Orientia tsutsugamushi, a Gram-negative a-proteobacterium of family Rickettsiaceae first isolated & identified in 1930 in Japan. Although the disease is
similar in presentation to other forms of typhus, its pathogen is no longer included in genus Rickettsia with the typhus bacteria proper, but in Orientia. 
The disease is thus frequently classified separately from the other typhi.
