1. This test is not recommended to screen Ovarian cancer in the general population. 2. False negative / positive results are observed in patients receiving mousemonoclonal antibodies for diagnosis or therapy 3. Patients with confirmed Ovarian cancer may show normal pre-treatment. CA 125 levels. Hence this assay, regardless of level, should not be interpreted asabsolute evidence for the presence or absence of malignant disease. The assay value shouldbe used in conjunction with findings from clinical evaluation and other diagnostic procedures.
